Organizational Statement

Enbridge Liquids Pipelines, Inc., a leader in crude oil and natural gas transportation, gathering and processing, is currently seeking a Contract Coordinator in our Major Projects for our Superior, WI location.

Responsibilities

Primary Focus

This position is responsible for the delivery of specialty construction services for Enbridge Major Projects Engineering construction program. This includes:

* Provision of contracting and construction expertise as a member of project development and execution teams for a range of pipeline, facility and energy infrastructure projects (greenfield and operating). This position significantly contributes to the achievement of project cost, schedule, quality, and EHS goals.

* Develops and implements MP's construction contracting processes and procedures.

* Manage the preparation, issue, receipt, spread and award of contracts

Specific Accountabilities

As a member of capital project teams, proactively provides specialist contracting services for project development and execution activities.

* Provides strategic advice regarding contracting strategies.

* The preparation and maintenance of a variety of contract documents (Construction, Consulting, etc.)

* Assures the appropriate screening and qualifications of contractors and their subcontractors.

* Develops bidders lists, based on consideration of project requirements, contractor qualifications. Performance, capabilities, and availability. Ensures contractors meet quality, financial, regulatory and EHS requirements.

* Evaluates and maintains a database of contractor performance.

* Advises and coordinates contract surety requirements.

* Coordinates tender and bid opening procedures, bid evaluations and preparation of award documentation.

* Assist project teams with the effective management of work extra authorizations and claims.

* Ensures contractors, stakeholders and customers have an appropriate priority and focus on safety and environmental management expectations.

* Assures a high level of scrutiny and ethics throughout the bidding process.

* Participates in team building and intelligence gathering activities with industry to maintain and nurture our business relationships; know the local and national labor market place, and labor relation issues.

Qualifications

Qualifications

* A technology diploma with certification by a recognized technical association, P.Eng or P.E. designation. Other combinations of education and experience may also be suitable.

* 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in the contracts admin., and/or construction industry.

* Experience with construction administration, project accounting, Oracle (or similar) accounting software, legal procedures for bidding and contracts.

* Proven assertion, problem solving, mediation and negotiating skills supplemented with a practical aptitude.

* Strong communication, analytical, information management and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to work with diverse groups and individual personalities.
