Contract Systems Engineer
Job Title: Contract Systems Engineer (Aerospace)
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £35-42 per hour (dependent on experience)
6 month contract (can be extended)
Role summary
This is a product development role. The focus of this role is the specification of electrical/electronic components for aircraft actuation systems such as Thrust reversers, flap and slat systems and missile fin actuation. Systems are typically electrically or hydraulically powered and comprise of motors, gearboxes, transmission, brakes, actuators and sensors.
Successful candidates will work with the Lead Systems Engineer to understand system architecture and working with a multi-disciplinary team develop the requirements for various electrical/electronic system components. The candidate will be working with suppliers in the development of those components, reviewing designs and design data.
Key aspects of the work include:
• Writing requirements for systems components
• Selection of system components
• Requirements Management using DOORS
