Contracts Administrator Job in Toronto/Gta, Ontario Canada

Description:

Our client, a government institution is looking for a contracts/Facilities Specialist to join their facilities team.

 

Under the general direction of the Senior Manager, Facilities, and this position:

 

·       Maintains and updates all Facilities contracts including contract lists and vendor lists.  Produces RFP (Request for Proposal) documents for all Facilities contracts including developing the Scope of Work and Evaluation criteria with input from Operations Facilities managers, Capital Project Manager and Purchasing staff.  Participates in the evaluation and selection process, and prepare reports for Directors.

·       Manages, develops, maintains, and coordinates the  Waste and Recycling Program

·       Manages, maintains, and continues to develop the BAS (Building Automated Systems) program, which includes control drawings, software applications, site processors, end devices operation, and HVAC (Heating Ventilating, Air Conditioning) equipment sequence of operations.

·       Develops, manages, maintains, and coordinates  Health Safety programs, including the responsibilities related to compliance with related legislation requirements of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Material Information System), OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act, HWIN (Hazardous Waste Information Network) and act as Facilities Management representative on JOHSC (Joint Health and Safety Committees) as required. 

·       Is responsible for the Asbestos Management Program (AMP). 

·       Is responsible for procurement and installation of exterior signs following the specifications of Visual Identity Program.  Communicates with sign companies to design and install the signs.

·       Manages and maintains Air Quality Equipment, software application, and coordinates training on the use of the equipment and software.  This includes the annual inspection and certification of the equipment.

·       Acts as back up Manager for the Services Coordinator Manager which includes responsibilities for the Messenger Service Staff and Security Card Access System.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·       Experience with Building Automation Systems.  Building Environmental Systems diploma an asset.

·       Knowledge of HVAC systems operation and controls, and electrical and building construction.

·       Experience in reading and understanding building drawings.

·       Understanding of the Ontario Occupation Health Safety Act and legislation

·       Awareness of collective agreements and the ability to effectively interpret and administer them.

·       Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project, and email systems.

·       Current certification by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board

·       Ability to plan, organize and implement plans to deadlines.

·       Effective oral and written communication skills.

·       Demonstrate skills in working cooperatively with others.

·       Experience in Managing staff.

·       Drivers license and car essential.
