Contracts Director - 12000AQY The Proposals, Contracts and Compliance Team has an opening for a Contracts Director to lead a global team managing Proposals and Contracts Tools. The focus of this role includes: ? Ensuring the Proposals, Contracts and Compliance team members have the appropriate tools available to do their jobs efficiently and effectively and enabling global reporting out of those tools ? Rationalizing the tool options globally and driving best of breed tool usage ? Working with IT to find solutions to support proposals and contracts ? Leading Business Process Improvement efforts ? Driving the use of tool for self-help/standardization where possible ? Guided by long term objectives and business requirements ? Analyzing long-term impact of new or anticipated strategies and decisions ? Leading the team to solve abstract problems without precedent, diagnoses and resolves ambiguous problems. The Tools and Content team is responsible for ? Understanding strategic priorities across Dell's sales segments ? Driving to simple, scalable, standard global processes and tools ? Driving prioritization through business case analysis ? Translating identified requirements into process steps, organizational design, and tool requirements leveraging business acumen and subject matter expertise. ? Coordinate across organizations to determine impacts from implementation of future state solution ? Managing cross functional groups to deliver program components including partnership with other Dell teams, as well as external vendors. ? Manage project with regards to scope, resource, budgets, timing, forecasting, opportunity/risk analysis ? Executing seamless launches enabled by robust testing and change management ? Driving issues/defects to resolution ? Develop training content based on business user impact and deliver end-user training ? Support business readiness and launch efforts Criteria for Success: ? Demonstrated ability to determine when to escalate business issues and influence others; ? Demonstrated capability in structuring and executing on robust programs, processes, and methodologies; ? Demonstrated competence in effective people management; ? Deliver on plan, on schedule, on objective with integrity; ? Demonstrated global influence and trust ? Demonstrated solid understanding of operations, the business, our objectives, strategy, and financials Qualifications ? 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience with 8+ years leadership experience ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ? Command presence and presentation skills; ? Strong project management skills, certifications a plus; ? Strong analytical capability and decision making skills; ? Good communication and interpersonal skills s trong organizational agility; ? Very action oriented and deliverables focused; ? Six Sigma/LEAN (industry) activity; ? Able to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines ?
