Job Description:
· Develops contracts in a timely fashion that accurately reflect the business transaction while minimizing risk and Price.
· Responsible for understanding hardware, software, maintenance and service contracts and serving as the lead negotiator for new contracts or contract revisions within IT.
· Supports multiple contracts or complex enterprise agreements that range in size, complexity and contract duration.
· Determines appropriate contract form and develops supplementary contract language for software licenses and service contracts.
· Works closely with the Legal Department, Finance, IT Management and Procurement to refine and/or define, communicate and apply standard processes and terminology to be used when negotiating and executing technology contracts.
· Ensures corporate and legal guidelines are followed.
· Understands legal provisions, and cost drivers of each contract and forecasts what actions will impact each from a financial perspective.
· Creates, negotiates and incorporates contract amendments, renegotiating the contract, if required to accommodate scope changes or changes in organization requirements.
· Responsible for the use of a contract management repository for the purpose of tracking contracts, expiration dates and the formal record of clients license rights.
Background and experience:
IT Contract Negotiation with an emphasis on legal terms and structure of the deal focusing on procurement activities such as RFP/RFI and pricing.
