Contracts Manager

Due to continued demand from their existing clients, A main contractor within the highway and Infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager, operating out of their Essex office. The role is to manage civil/ infrastructure contracts in the London SE area. Managing a team consisting of: Agents, supervisors, gangs, machine layers and operatives, reporting into the Area Manager.

The ideal candidate will have You will have a proven track record in the highway / Infrastructure sector and will be able to demonstrate your ability to management multiple contracts.

 The successful applicant will take responsibility for all surfacing works carried out by the company on behalf of the client.

 

Key Duties:

·         Work to the operational and commercial procedures.

·         Sub-contractors: To prepare payment certificates on a weekly basis.

·         Maintain records on the performance of subcontractors

·         Measurement: To prepare records for works done or instructions received.

·         To collate and prepare information to allow visibility of process and control within the department

·         Operations: To support and co-ordinate resources through detailed work order planning

·         Health and safety requirements, including review of method statements

·         Be part of the monthly reporting process and understand the relationship with the financial accounts.

·         To manage junior staff and provide training and guidance
