Our global client, one of the world's largest publicly owned EPCM companies, is seeking highly motivated team players to join their expanding team.  This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Contract Managers to work for industry leader.

 

The Role:

The Company is seeking Senior Contract Managers to join their team in Vancouver. Under general supervision, the Senior Contract Managers may be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

 

·         Lead, manage and be an integral member of the contract management team for large Infrastructure or Mining project(s) located in Canada.

·         Manage a staff of contract personnel and coordinate with sales, engineering, project manager, project controls, site management as well as the client to ensure proper contracting efforts are in accordance with practices and policies.

·         Provide planning, preparation and issuance of project contract documents in accordance with the contract project execution plan and procedures.

·         Develop staffing plans, effort hour estimates and execution plans for the Contract Management function for the project.
Develop Contracting plans and procedures with the support of other disciplines and functions for implementation by the project

·         Interface with internal and external management with respect to project contracting activities.

·         Participate and supervise others in project set up and procedure development

·         Guide efforts for developing contractor resource surveys and develop Master Bidder List for the project

·         Supervise a team of people in performing all contracts pre-award activities, contractor selection, interface with engineering, project and client representatives to support preparation of RFP, bid evaluation and negotiations up to award and contract execution.

·         Perform all duties of post award contract management.

·         Organize and document communications and meetings with contractors.

·         Administer changes to contracts including claims resolution.

·         Be pro-active with contractors to ensure the contract compliance generation of progress reports, schedules, daily and other status reports, invoices and supporting documents in a timely manner.

·         Generate project progress, schedule, weekly and monthly status reports

·          Supervise close out of contracts; finalize outstanding contract issues, final invoices and contractor performance evaluations.

·         Become proficient using the Contract Management Functional Reference System

·        Be able to perform engineering in all project phases of process design including:

 

The Candidate:

Applicants for this role must have a bachelors degree in business, engineering, or equivalent construction management experiencewith a minimum 15+years of senior contract management experience.   Law Degree or knowledge of contract law would be an asset.  Construction management principals are highly desirable.  Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access).  Infrastructure, road, airports, bridge experience an asset.  Knowledge of P3 programs is an asset.Negotiations skills, excellent communication skills and ability to manage many tasks.
