Are you a talented contracts manager or experienced supervisor? Do you have a proven track record of managing major electrical site contracts ? If so, our client is in need of your talent.
Since their inception in 1996, our client has operated successfully within the construction industry. Growing to become one of the industry's recognised leaders, they specialise in site temporary electrics. An opportunity has now arisen for a Contracts Supervisor / Manager to join their team due to planned expansion in the Midlands region.
As part of our client's continuous improvement policy, you'll receive comprehensive training, including the opportunity to take any technical courses.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, as a Contracts Supervisor / Manager, you will effectively lead, manage and co-ordinate your designated working region within the Midlands branch. This will include clerical support staff and up to 12 operatives.
You will be responsible for projects being delivered on time, to high quality standards, providing value to customers, whilst staying within budget and commercial requirements.
Your duties will include:
- Identifying, estimating and controlling all variation activities
- Establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients
- Minimising health safety risks on and off site
- Participating in the review of departmental processes and their continuous improvement
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- Experience of working with major contractors at electrical sites
- A proven track record as a supervisor or contracts manager
- A driving licence
Whilst not essential, any of the following qualifications would be beneficial to your application: electrical, first aid and/or Site Supervisor CITB, as well as any technical and/or management training courses you have attended. The ideal Contracts Supervisor / Manager will have a JIB card, but this is by no means essential.
Knowledge of temporary services, estimating, mechanical and/or plumbing work would also be beneficial.
