Control Analyst recruitment
Main responsibilities
Initial focus will be providing support to the Middle Office team, in daily production of reports detailing the Cash Equity activity of the previous business day. This report is used to identify any potential issue on the Cash Equity business worldwide. Certain criteria/thresholds/limits are defined within that report. The production of that report is dedicated to the Control department in London. Reports include:-
- Weekly MIS report of volumes / exceptions
- Daily MARK/GEF Risk Report
- Daily Middle Office Controls Report
- Agency PnL Report
- Booking quality controls
The Control department is in charge of controls related to front-office booking quality and liaise, for issues, with dedicated Middle Offices and Front Offices.
Controls include, but are not limited to:
- Spanish Market report
- Error process
- Brokerage Variance Report
- FX Controls
- Reconciliations (FOBO, Market, Control accounts)
- Off Market Price
- Warehouse Control
- Regulatory controls
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education/Experience
- Exposure to the Equity Settlement cycle or Operations Control.
- For the right candidate without previous experience it will provide an opportunity to develop an understanding of Operational Risk and Settlements processes.
- Experience in workings of an Investment Bank Operation is preferred.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for their own designated work, delivered with support from a senior team member.
- Due to the nature of the tasks within the team the succesful candiate will be expected to contribute to the automation of work to reduce the time spent on manual tasks and increase the time spent adding value
- Minimum A level.
Languages/skills
- Fluent English
- Good working knowledge of the MS Office suite of applications

- The ability to assimilate knowledge quickly, an inquiring mind and an eye for detail, a sense of responsibility coupled with a sense of urgency, good communication skills.
