EGGER is one of the leading manufacturers of wood based panels in Europe. They have recently completed a significant re-development of their existing Hexham site into one of the most technologically advanced in Europe.

Working within the Electrical Department, the CI Engineer will provide programming and software support to the production process, ensuring asset integrity and reliability is maintained in a manner consistent with delivering customer requirement. Assisting in the planning, installation and commissioning of all plant equipment as necessary you will demonstrate continuing professional competence and development, maximizing functional knowledge across site. With advanced knowledge of PLC’s to include Siemens S5 and S7 you will have significant relevant experience ideally from a manufacturing background. The successful CI Engineer applicant will work in a busy and fast paced engineering environment and must demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will also take a lead role in training and instructing the electrical engineering team in electrical safety, electrical fault finding and PLC knowledge.

The successful CI Engineer candidate will ideally be educated to HND level with excellent knowledge of S7 Siemens PLC Advanced. It would be beneficial if the successful candidate has working knowledge of S5 Siemens PLC, PROFIBUS, SCADA and E-Plan and has experience in a manufacturing environment in a programming support type role. It would be advantageous if you have IEH Supervisory Health and Safety Certificate. EGGER is looking for an individual with excellent IT and communication skills with the motivation to pursue their personal professional development.
