Control Manager Banking Services recruitment
The Banking Services Control Hub centralises the major control functions and provides independence and a cross business view and works in collaboration with the product line control teams to deliver a timely, business specific view of risk and control. This role will include involvement in all control aspects of the Birmingham office supporting all existing functions and driving team development.
The GBS Control Hub Manager will have management responsibility for the control hub team located in Birmingham. Team delivery is focused on key business activities across four main areas Policy and Control Oversight, Control Reporting, Risk Analysis and Information Security. The Manager will focus on strategy, development and execution of the control framework, Audit, Operational Risk assessment and mitigation, control MIS, Sox management and testing.
Key duties will consist of a range of tasks including the following:
• Management of the Birmingham team, including the development of the team members through regular meetings, personal development plans and training courses
• Drive accurate and timely delivery of all team requirements
• Work as part of the Control management team to develop and implement the next generation operating model within Banking Control
• Manage relationships with the other BS Global Control Hub locations
• Work in collaboration with the BS Control Change The Bank team to manage delivery of all key projects and provide subject matter expertise
• Ownership and delivery of key Control Hub deliverables in support of BS business objectives and requirements
• Supporting Product line control teams and Senior Management to determine risk exposures, including the analysis of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Environmental Risk Indicators (ERI)
• Production of Senior Management reporting including the coordination of the Global Control Reporting pack for GBS Senior Executive Committee and Global Product Heads
• Participation in the Birmingham Executive Management Forum supporting the development of the Birmingham site and driving strategy across all business areas
