Position Description:
We seek a dedicated individual who, working under the direct supervision of the Chief Engineer, is responsible for monitoring and control of all BIOMASS plant systems on a continuous basis. This position will respond to alarms by taking appropriate corrective actions and execute approved plant shutdown and start-up procedures, and assure that the plant meets it’s operational, environmental and safety commitments while operating in a safe and environmentally efficient manner.
Position Requirements:
To qualify you must have an Associate’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, coupled with basic computer, blueprint, PID, schematic specifications and vendor requirement reading experience. Strong leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, and problem solving/decision making skills are a must. The ability to stay alert while sitting for long periods of time, work in close quarters and confined spaces, climb ladders and structures, tolerate heights, and tolerate high temperatures is key. A valid driver’s license and the ability lift up to 50 pounds are also required.

The applicant must possess a through understanding of the Auxiliary Operator, Water Systems Operator and Control Room Operator’s duties and responsibilities and be capable of standing watch in any of the above mentioned positions.
