Job Description
As Controls Systems Engineer your primary responsibility will be to assist the project manager with all aspects of control systems design and execution. This includes but not limited to the following: Software design and development of PLC and similar programming systems. You will also be responsible for on Site work associated with installation, commissioning and inspection of control systems. As Controls Systems Engineer you will assist in the implementation of capital projects in line with required timing estimates and ensuring delivery of defined outcomes. From this you will implement appropriate solutions, ensuring a continuous improvement approach to improve process efficiency, safety and environmental concerns.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Control Systems Engineer will possess:
- Extensive experience in a similar with large involvement in mining and resources related projects
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Excellent written verbal communication skills
- Have site commissioning and support experience
- Highly proficient computer skills
- Software engineering including specification writing
- Project management and development
- Exposure to the full project cycle
