Control Unit Associate – Operations Contolr recruitment

The principle focus of the team is to build and maintain a consistent global framework and independent review of existing and new processes/business, development of the control environment in line with business initiatives and product complexity

Role description:

•Perform adhoc front to back review of Operations processes and systems, highlighting issues, making recommendations for improvement and tracking action for closure.

•Manage the oversight and governance of the Operations Audit points including understanding issues raised, challenging where necessary, ensuring points are achievable and on track for closure. Ensure consistency of controls, monitoring, sign off and reporting globally. Review of existing/past audit points ensuring that lessons learned can be applied to other areas where appropriate.

•Assist in the review of Internal Account/Books process for Operations identifying use of access, rationalise, mandate and introduce a global policy and governance around the process

•Collaborate with relevant Operations team to obtain an full understanding of the Balance Sheet Substantiation process, assisting in the monthly sample testing process, highlighting issues accordingly

•Provide oversight of control functions performed in Mumbai identifying issues and escalating where necessary

•Challenge the control environment and provide recommendations for enhancement

•Promote a culture of control awareness through effective communication and education

Key objectives critical to success:

  1. Proactive identification, assessment, management and mitigation of control issues
  2. BAU product life cycle management escalating potential control hotspots
  3. Management and upgrade of the control environment through the analysis and sign off of change management initiatives

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required

•Solid Operations Control background with a proven track record for enhancement

•Self motivated and highly organised

•Strong communication skills across levels of the organisation

•Proven problems solving skills

•Strong time management skills, deadline driven
