Controller

Job Description: 

The Equity Controller will lead and manage accounting and reporting for five plus investment partnerships, including monitoring of their investments, financial reporting, and organizing, directing and controlling the work of the accounting personnel. The Equity Controller will also conduct accounting research, monthly partnership reporting, investment operation review, quarterly financial reporting, investor reporting, funding requirements and commitments, capital calls, capital distributions, consolidations, calculation of fees, return calculations, partnership administration and annual audits.

Experience: 

The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Certified Public Accountant-including keeping abreast of current accounting pronouncements, prior experience in the real estate industry, eight to twelve years of accounting experience, including 3-4 years of public accounting, technical skills and experience in accounting research, financial reporting, consolidation accounting, foreign currency and IFRS, commitment to successfully perform job responsibilities, high energy, ability to perform multiple projects, in addition to normal activities, strong analytical and reasoning abilities, organized and excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
