Mission :
Challenges validates the financial targets the company sets in a specific domain or area. Monitors reports on the performance of the value drivers that influence the ability of the company to reach its targets.
Key responsibility areas :
1. Gathers, challenges validates all value cost drivers (number of users, traffic, invoices, network sites, etc) provided by the departments in order to forecast the components of the PL balance sheet (budget/forecast)
2. Analyses deviations between actual and forecasted performance and makes recommendations towards the controlling management.
3. Validates financially investment or expense decisions, offers commercial promotions in order to ensure that company decisions create value are in line with budget guidelines.
4. Develops maintains value simulation tools used for the pre or post validation of financial decisions (offers, promotions, investments, expenses).
5. Coordinates the financial matters of a department and/or specific domain. Acts as financial advisor for the department and/or domain.
6. Ensures compliance with finance policies (IFRS, SOX)
Major interactions :
• Finance: CFO, controlling management, all levels (finance controlling)
• Departments: the controller is the finance expert point of contact for a department (including exco)
• Orange/FT Group: EME finance, LOB
Specific expertise :
• Well developed financial expertise: PL balance sheet knowledge, use of dedicated software (Hyperion, BO, Magnitude; Excel)
• Technical: good understanding or strong interest for telecom industry
Education, specific training and experience :
University degree in Economics preferred.
Max.3-5 years relevant experience in Controlling within the service sector or a consultant experience within a Big 4.
