Controller in Wholesale Banking, Capital Markets Financial and Risk Control, Credit Risk Control Denmark

Credit Risk Control is a unit within Capital Markets Financial and Risk Control (CMFRC) responsible for performing controls and monitoring the activities in the Credit Risk area of Capital Markets Products (CMP) related to Trading, Research and Sales.

As part of the CRC team you will be involved in a wide range of tasks within the team’s main responsibility of analysing and reporting Credit Risk exposures and excesses. As part of the team you will perform existing processes and help develop and implement new reporting and controls. The team will also contribute to the infrastructure development initiatives and work with the increasing reporting requirements from external regulators. You might also be involved in the Product Approval process which will require knowledge of financial instruments.

We expect you to build extensive knowledge of our IT infrastructure, credit risk measures and stakeholders (including Trading, Sales, Quantitative analysts, Operations, Group functions and other areas within CMFRC). Analytical profile, with initiative and drive to succeed
We are looking for a candidate with a Master degree in Finance/Economics/Mathematics or other relevant background.

It will be an advantage to have strong IT skills, in particular SQL and Excel/VBA and/or knowledge about financial instruments.

You are also expected to be analytical and a self-driven person who takes initiative assumes responsibility to deliver strong value adding results.

Furthermore you need to be confident with using English as your primary working language. As we are servicing Nordea’s Customer Responsible Units in Denmark you need to be fluent in Danish as well.

Credit Risk Control is responsible for one of the key control processes in Capital Markets Products (CMP) of measuring and reporting counterparty credit risk. We perform daily monitoring of counterparty credit risk exposure against limits, excess management and reporting towards Customer responsible Units (CRUs) and we have a key role in product approval process with the aim to identify, assess and mitigate credit risks prior to approval. Credit Risk Control is a Nordic organisation with around 20 employees of which 5 are working in Copenhagen.
