Description: Under limited direction, performs the most complex accounting duties, including: cost accounting, cash management, and accounting that requires knowledge of specialized rules and regulations; prepares and monitors budgets; provides significant accounting expertise to company in order to help achieve fiscal goals; and performs other related duties as required.

Specific Job Duties:

1.      Manage and performs all accounting operations including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable and statutory reporting.

2.      Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.

3.      Assist in the preparation of company budgeting and forecasting.

4.      Prepare required quarterly and yearly tax documentation

5.      Manage asset tracking and depreciation schedules

6.      Prepare, analyze and present monthly, quarterly and annual operating results for each department.

7.      Reconcile all monthly and yearly bank statements.

8.      Work with operations to define appropriate cost structures and work centers for product management and inventory control

9.      Work with operations to define, measure, analyze, and improve current processes which impact customer quality and influence internal operating efficiency.

10.  Provide strategic analysis as required to drive improved decision making.

11.  Manage and perform all operations for payroll, such as data entry and ADP processing

12.  Manage and perform all operations for employee benefit programs such as health care and 401K programs

13.  Assist with associated HR activities

14.  Work with external auditors

Qualifications:

1.      Five years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry

2.      Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.

3.  Good communication skills - written and verbal.

4   Strong Microsoft Excel skills and, ideally, experience with Access software.

5.  Experience operating a general ledger system.

6.  Ability to explain financials in simple terms.

7. Self reliant and able to succeed with minimal direction.
