Our client, a large manufacturing company with revenues in the billions is seeking to hire a corporate controller for their North American operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a company that offers incredible benefits and a great company culture. This person will supervise 5 direct reports and a very large team of indirect reports.
· Responsible for managing the monthly, quarterly, plan and annual segment financial reporting processes while reviewing submissions for accuracy, reasonableness and adherence with GAAP and IFRS reporting
· Responsible for ensuring that sound financial controls, policies and procedures are in place to adequately safeguard the company's assets and accurately report results;
· Provide, as requested, the CFO and senior management group with accurate/insightful financial reports and analytics to evaluate the operating results and trends
· Responsible to administer and adapt, as appropriate, accounting policies, controls and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with all laws and regulations and safeguarding of assets;
· Assist the CFO in reviewing the quality of financials (Balance Sheet reviews), financial reporting systems and controls;
· Provide CFO with ad-hoc analyses as they relate to acquisitions, capital projects, key performance indicators and other financial issues;
· Other tasks as assigned.
Skill set required:
Extensive GAAP and IFRS reporting experience highly desired
SEC reporting experience a plus
CPA
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of supervisory experience at the controller or CFO level
Large manufacturing company experience required
