Responsibilities CHS has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Controller to support and partner with our Crop Nutrients division. You must be able to direct the completion of accurate and timely financial statements for the Crop Nutrients division. You must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, analytical, with the ability to lead effectively and influence others. You will: Consult with CN business leaders to assist in strategy development and provide management information to aid in decision making. Provide analysis of returns on investments and capital expenditures. Provide financial leadership at both a total CN and regional level. Direct the completion of accurate and timely financial statements for the Crop Nutrients division. Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance. Direct the formulation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls. Lead and develop the finance/shared services team. Assist in the implementation and enhancement of the ERP system for CN and potential other Ag Business groups. Establish, review, and revise operational reporting and procedures to improve accuracy of transactions and general ledger reporting as well as improved cash flow. SOX / SEC Compliance: Review and revise appropriate internal controls Quarterly and Annual Audit: Review flux analysis with auditors Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Review monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy. Review and approve expense reports and invoices to ensure appropriate expenditures by the division and consistent reporting for management evaluation. Review and improve accounting practices, policies, and procedures. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance 12 plus years of accounting experience with progressive responsibilities 5 years supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications CPA (active or inactive) Financial counsel expertise Oracle JDE Edwards GL Insight CHS offers a competitive total compensation package.
