Job Title: Department Accounting Manager

Summary:  Responsible for providing general accounting services to the corporation in compliance with accepted accounting principles by performing the following duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

1. Develop and maintain accounting systems for the company by maintaining books of accounts and related materials, as well as handling day to day financial matters.

2. Develop and provide training necessary for using these systems to accounting personnel.

3. Prepare various journal entries to maintain the company's books of accounts.

4. Maintain company wide records for fixed assets or liabilities.

5. Manage day to day cash management operations internally as well as in coordination with financial institutions.

6. Oversee reconciliation of bank accounts on a monthly basis.

7. Prepare all financial reports and statements as required to comply with internal/external reporting requirements on computer.

8. Review all accounts receivable statements.

9. Perform year-end closing and balancing procedures in accordance with approved procedures.

10. Perform all daily and monthly duties related to cash balance, general ledger and month closing.

11. Assist department managers in the preparation of annual budgets, monitor budgets through the year for variances and resolve discrepancies promptly in coordination with appropriate party.

12. Collaborate with management to prepare company budgets.

13. Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

Develop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, training, compensation and motivation of all accounting personnel.
