CFO of top global manufacturing company needs a dynamic, experienced Controller who can capably manage their accounting services division and team.

 

Job Summary / Mission:

1.       Responsible for monitoring and utilizing financial systems to assure consistent, timely and accurate reporting of financial results.  Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company and Parent Company’s accounting policies and procedures.

2.       Work cross-functionally with Business Controlling Group, Regional Controllers and Supply Chain (VP and Global Controller) to support needs of the business.

3.       Liaise/manage PwC (or other external audit) to comply with both SARBOX and substantive periodic audits.

4.       Responsible for supervising/managing, motivating and guiding the accounting service group

 

Principal Activities / Duties / Responsibilities:

1.       Perform General Accounting financial support functions in compliance with US GAAP and Parent Company’s accounting policies and procedures.

2.       Responsible for the supervision, motivation, and guidance of the accounting staff (8) including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Payroll, Cash Application, and Cost/Supply Chain.

3.       Required to possess a good working knowledge of the appropriate accounting systems (4Shift / SAP) and responsible for the accuracy and documentation of daily transactions posted to subsidiary ledgers and their proper recording in the General Ledger. Required to be able to perform Khalix closing.

4.       Work with affiliates to keep inter-company balances reconciled. Ensure accuracy of balance sheet and income statement within the general ledger, including all inter/intra company balances and activities. 

5.       Analyze, in a timely manner, financial results on a monthly basis, both from a statutory standpoint and from an operating standpoint on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Ultimately responsible for the accuracy of the Financial Statements reported including reserves, estimates, valuations, and disclosures.

6.       Lead person on year- end external audit activities and SARBOX activities.

7.       Responsible to ensure overall control environment is documented, controls and processes are in place and enforced. Including, but not limited to Month End Closing Script, Delegation of Authority enforcement, Cash related cycles…etc..

8.       Support and work with Business Controlling Group, Regional Controllers and Supply Chain (VP and Global Controller) and other functions throughout the Company on various projects and ad-hoc requests as they arise.

9.       Develop and maintain an understanding of how financial information

10.   Point-person for on-going data requests. Including Parent Company requests in general relating to Insurance / Tax / Other filings / Questionnaires, etc.. 

11.   Liaise with Parent Company tax department and Director, Accounting Services and monitor all State/Local/Federal tax issues and compliance

 

Position/Job Requirements:

·         SUPERVISION: Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.

Education / Work Experience / Leadership Other Skills – a MUST:

·         Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business required; MBA with emphasis in Accounting, Finance /or CPA very strongly preferred.

Work Experience Required:

·         10+ years’ accounting and costing experience with a manufacturing / supply chain company and/or a global, national or regional public accounting firm with manufacturing clients, incl. 5+ years’ supervision experience.

Knowledge Skills:

·         Updated Financial PC skills (ERP/SAP, Excel, Access, Hyperion, Cognos for example) are required.   Understanding of the products and product lines, business practices and procedures, goals and objectives of the business … as well as knowledge of financial and accounting policies and procedures.

Work Conditions or Specific constraints (Travel…):

·         Travel necessary on an as needed basis. However, primarily based in Orlando.
