Position Summary:

We are seeking a Controller to lead our accounting function and work closely with the executive team and importantly to serve as a mentor to the middle management team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on CPA with 5+ years of accounting experience that can thrive in a fast paced high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

·         Own all aspects of the accounting function including month-end close, general ledger analysis, capital expenditures, working capital management.

·         Establish and maintain stable cash flow management policies and procedures, and monitor the banking relationship to ensure cash resources are available for daily operations.

·         Maintain financial records in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and evolving accounting guidance

·         Establish and enforce strong internal financial and operational controls with clear visibility through reporting metrics within the organization.

·         Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial statements, bank reporting, and assisting with the preparation of board of director presentations

·         Analyze variances to budget to develop corrective action.

·         Serve as primary liaison to external audit and accounting firms and prepare support for annual audit of financial statements

·         Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial information analyses, reports, and recommendations.

·         Handle special projects and perform analysis as needed.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor degree in Accounting

·         CPA preferred

·         5-7 years of accounting experience and a strong understanding of US GAAP

·         Ability to multi-task effectively and meet deadlines is essential, must be flexible with work hours.

·         Highly detail oriented and a hands-on problem solver

·         Advanced knowledge of and proficiency with Excel

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Ability to work closely with peers and to teach and motivate direct reports.

Compensation:  Exempt - D.O.E.
