REPORTS TO: General Manager
FUNCTION: Financial executive for the division
EXEMPT POSITION
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide timely and accurate financial information
- Closing records—month, quarter, annual
- Outlook (forecast) revenue and income semi-monthly
- Annual plan (budget) and 5-yr plan
- Department budget analyses
- Financial reports and trends for day-to-day business management
Manage all financial, accounting, and IT operations including accounts receivable and payable, inventory, billing, collections, payroll, and auditing.
- Train and supervise two-person accounting staff
- Manage the IT consultants
- Monitor and help manage accounts receivables, days-sales-outstanding, and inventory
- Review and approve all customer credit limits and resolve credit issues
Manage reporting systems, SysPro and Unipoint
- Trouble shoot any systems problems with users and 3rd party providers
- Manage the training for all users
- Develop required reports using Crystal
Participate on the division’s leadership team
- Develop operating models and income projections
- Provide support and financial modeling for negotiations and business strategies
- Determine the overall strategy
- Optimize products, services, and markets
- Resolve corporate issues
- Providing financial support and leadership on acquisitions from performing pre-acquisition due diligence through post-acquisition integration activities
Cooperate and collaborate with other ITW Business Units on such issues as capital expenditures, accounting policies, audits, and procedures
- Maintain close working relationships with the corporate office
SKILLS AND APTITUDES:
Knowledge and Experience
An ideal background will include experience in a mid-sized, growth-oriented, technical and manufacturing organization with strong acquisition and international experience.
- Manufacturing, preferably in consumables rather than capital goods
- International business, preferably in electronics or supplying to semiconductor industries
- Comfortable with mergers and acquisitions, contracts, and international distribution
- Strategic and tactical business planning
Management or supervision experience
Controller experience
- Manufacturing and cost accounting
- Financial reports
- Inventory systems
- GAAP
- Extensive Microsoft Excel experience with pivot tables and queries
- Managing credit, terms, A/R, DSO, and inventory
MIS systems, prefer experience with SysPro and Crystal Reports
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting,
- MBA or CPA highly desirable
- Five-to-seven years of appropriate experience

The Controller represents ITW Rippey to ITW corporate, to customers, and to suppliers.
- Customers and distributors—Credit terms and accounts receivable
- ITW Corporate—Regular communication with group controllership, semi-monthly corporate reporting
- Suppliers—Potential involvement with contracts and negotiations
JOB CONDITIONS:
