Controller with strong IT-knowledge - IT - Amsterdam
For the European HQ of a company known for its expertise and strong presence in IT field for many years we are looking for a candidate with good financial background. Preferable you have 4 years experience as an independent controller working hands-on but also already been exposed to being responsible for closing and reporting. With this you have good knowledge of ERP systems and have been involved in aimplementation of which you took the lead.
The European HQ has a strong International feel with many different cultures and nationalities.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising the month end close and monthly reporting to the US office
- Financial reporting - monitor budget to actual
- Oversee all treasury/cash management functions incl. banks/ar/ap
- Daily, weekly, monthly reporting to the US office
- Prepare monthly closing package for US office
- Supervise year-end audit
- Participate and lead strategy and operations through European marketplace
- Reconcile and maintain inter-company accounts
- Knowledge of local statutory and federal fillings for taxes, vat and other regulatory issues
Experience:
- University degree
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Fluent in English
- An additional European language is a plus
- Minimum of 4 years accounting experience
- Flexible, prepared to work hands-on, able to adjust to a chaotic environment.
