Controller/Director of Accounting (H/F) Job in Richardson 75081, Texas US
DFW-based, privately owned business, seeks a controller to manage all accounting functions. Candidate chosen will provide financial direction, supervision and oversight to the accounting department. Candidate must be a self starter and will be involved in strategic planning with management.
Description:
Successful candidates for this position will have experience in the areas of general and cost accounting, fixed assets, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash functions. Hands-on experience in financial closings, generation of financial statements and preparation of management reports and development of internal controls. Ideal candidates should also have experience in developing operational budgets, cash flow projections and profitability analyses.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
- Oversee daily operations of the accounting department and some portion of the general operations of the office.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements and financial reporting (balance sheet, PL, and cash flow).
- General Ledger maintenance and review.
- Supervise accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years prior experience as a Controller with references
- Working knowledge of all types of financial reports
- Solid GAAP knowledge required
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work with all levels of staff and management
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Supervisory experience required
