Description:
This is a full time position with Design Technical Services (DTS)
Design Technical Services provides project-based engineering consulting and manufacturing support services throughout the product life cycle including design, analysis, build-test, production and support.
Design Technical Services has an opportunity to become part of a prestigious team of professionals.
The work includes, but not limited to, working with the subsystem team in developing the test procedure, creating test plans and scripts, execution of test plans and scripts, reporting the results of the tests, and helping to troubleshoot software or system defects.
Work closely with engineering teams to understand product requirements and ensure thorough testing from a business perspective
Define and develop test plans and document functional and integration test cases to validate software and system requirements
Execute test cases on software releases during product development
Identify, characterize and document product issues or product improvement. Make recommendations for potential solutions.
Document test results and submit problems/issues into the defect database.
Presentations to Core team relating to test results, procedures, results, etc.
Setup, configure and troubleshoot test environment (hardware and software) as needed to complete assigned testing.
Create test setups and conduct testing of machine controls using Hardware in the Loop (HIL) methodologies.
Contribute to product improvement and process improvement in test execution, system/integration test automation, and software release quality.
Requirements:
Required:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
One or more years of work experience in controls development, software verification testing, and/or simulation focused on controls development.
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a small dynamic team environment.
Desired:
Knowledge/experience with dSPACE and/or NI HIL test systems.
Knowledge/experience with Matlab/Simulink and test automation script development.
Knowledge/experience with C programming language.
Aptitude for understanding how mechanical systems function
