COO – Commercial Banking – Management Consultant – Operational Excellence OPEX – Director – Change

This senior change and transformation expert, would have typically been involved in board level global change initiatives, supporting the COO office or personally lead / managed programme or project teams combatting complex change assignments.  The successful applicant will be the lead figure within a newly formed internal consultancy, becoming the ‘go to’ individual for group commercial banking change.

We are looking for individuals vastly experienced in Operational Excellence (OPEX) Process Excellence.  My client requires applicants able to converse fluidly with the business, able to present a concise strategy and pose the right questions to extract the necessary information.

The aim of the internal consultancy I to deliver a quality, robust and effective solution to major change initiatives globally.  They aim to offer two distinct products; discreet problem solving and programme initiation.

You must have considerable years of diverse experience and a variety of skills related to managing large and complex change, consulting engagements, business, technology or operations and people. Experience at a highly respected strategy consulting or management consulting firm would be advantageous.

The head of the division is looking to find an exceptional contributor with proven track record as both an outstanding consultant (change management or business transformation) and an inspiring leader of people.  The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a scalable team, with a global remit to drive the concept forward.

Global COO’s often have a ‘go to’ change or transformation person, tasked with rescuing failing programmes or assigned with leading the major board level driven programmes; it’s that person my client seeks

Commercial banking experience is essential. Unfortunately this is one of the final group pillars left to fill and therefor industry experience is a must.

A major attraction for individuals considering this opportunity is the progression this role has to offer.  This position will guarantee the job holder regular regional COO / board level exposure and could lead to Regional or Global COO positions in the future.

This is a complex environment, so having the ability to build, maintain and navigate the organisation using formal / informal networking skills will be needed. Experience of working in a global environment, working across cultures and matrix organisation structures will also be beneficial.
