Department Overview
This role is part of UK Corporate Operations. With a global footprint, we provide dedicated support to our clients and coverage colleagues through our strategic middle and back office capabilities. UK Corporate Operations is divided in to 6 key specialisms; Client Servicing, Middle Office Lending Operations, Sales Trade Finance Operations, Operational Change Management, Internal Control Global Payments.
This role sits within our Global Payments division. Global Payments provide payment processing services across the breadth of the Barclays franchise. Every day, we serve more than 100,000 clients and process more than 7 million payments with a value in excess of £476 billion.
Main Function Of The Job
The role holder will support the MD head of Global Payments Utility to track and report on performance including costs, headcount and KPIs. Additionally the role holder will highlight areas of focus, undertake analysis and present findings to Senior Management. The role holder will be responsible for supporting the Head of Global Payments and leading on a range of adhoc projects across the Global Payments franchise such as Capacity Planning, Productivity Analysis, Cost Analysis, Location Strategy, consolidation of information in a meaningful format to enable decision making.
Main Duties Responsibilities
- Tracking of Global Headcount and Consolidating performance / KPI across Corporate Infrastructure globally and identifying issues / opportunities for improvement
- Work with the Director leadership team across Global Payments to review key reasons for variances in performance and actions to remediate
- Reviewing monthly cost summary (produced by finance) and highlighting any variances
- Support Director leadership team - tracking actions and driving resolution of issues
- Design, drive and implement a forward thinking MI strategy across Global Payments include regulatory reporting and scorecard reporting for clients
Person Requirements
- Previous exposure within a similar COO/Business Management role within a large corporate. Candidate must be currently performing at Vice President/equivalent level.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills
- Business unit leadership competence
- Analytical skills / information seeking, ability to interpret data to form conclusions and recommendations with proven analytical MI expertise
