Job Title Cook Facility Aurora Medical Center Summit-135 Address 36500 Aurora Dr City Summit (Town of) State WI County Waukesha Zip Code 53066 # Hours Per Pay Period (Bi-weekly) 80 Schedule 12-8:30 pm Weekend Hours: Same as weekday hours Req # (optional) 86749BR Explore a Career In Food Management Job Description * Proficiently performs meat roasting, frying, broiling, steaming, grilling; preparation of sauces, gravies, vegetables, meats, cereals, eggs and other baked goods. * Prepares food items in accordance with the approved diet guidelines, incorporating methods and techniques to insure high quality finished products. * Prepares all products with an emphasis on food garnishing and presentation. * Complies with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standard and records in log. * Prepares all food on daily production report according to established deadlines. * Maintains proper production, safety and sanitation standards including interpretation, maintenance, implementation and communication of procedures and policies to staff and students. * Monitors accurate portioning and promotes food waste control. Prepares in small batches to help control waste/cost. * Monitors food temperatures and utilizes established procedures to insure safe food handling techniques and prevent bacteria contamination. * The Cook must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
