Cook Job in Melville, New York US
Whitsons is in search of experienced and friendly cook to work in corporate dining environment. Growing company with room for advancement! Scheduled work hours for this position are Monday - Friday
2pm- 10pm
$12 per hour
Responsibilities are:
• Assists in preparing of all food items as identified by menu.
• Follows recipes and cooking procedures to produce a great product.
• Coordinate cooking times for timely meal production
• Willing to learn new skills.
• Performs cleaning duties, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing.
• Cooking for the dinner shift supervising
• Keep storerooms neat and organized following FIFO procedures.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Professional kitchen experience required.
Ability to follow recipes and is completely comfortable with all cooking procedures.
Culinary degree helpful.
Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
Always present a positive and professional image.
