Position Summary
The Copier Field Service Technician / Document Imaging Field Engineer will provide superior customer service by maintaining, servicing and repairing equipment at customer locations as assigned. The Technician will need strong communication skills, excellent people skills and the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced changing environment to assist with prompt service and comprehensive technical support.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and repairing equipment on-site/off-site
- Setting-up and installing new equipment on customer's network, to include software installations and upgrades
- Representing ImageNet in a professional manner in all customer interactions
- Providing outstanding support by meeting customers' needs in a courteous and timely manner
- Diagnosing and resolving maintenance and repair issues
- Managing and maintaining accurate inventory for tools, parts and supplies in car stock
- Providing accurate billing and collection for services rendered
- Responsible for submitting legible paperwork in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Applicants must possess a high school diploma. Associate/College Degree or a Technical School Certificate is preferred, but the equivalent of 2-5 years of work related experience will be considered
- Copier/fax repair and maintenance experience is mandatory
- Excellent customer service and trouble shooting skills are essential
- Strong technical and mechanical ability
- Outstanding communication skills are essential
- Windows computer skills required
- Networking experience preferred
- Canon or HP certification on digital machines preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven commitment to customer satisfaction
- Proactive problem solver, creative thinker
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and own automobile
