Temporary Reporting / Project Accountant required
Purpose Of Job:
To support the Head of Finance and Group Accountant in the delivery of the Finance team’s input to Solvency II and Dream upgrade projects to the agreed deadlines and with the required degree of accuracy.
Support the required preparation for implementation of FRSME reporting.
To assist the reporting team in the delivery of TPS Group financial, regulatory reporting and management information requirements.
Specific Responsibilities:
Support delivery of Finance requirements for the Dream upgrade project.
Assist in the delivery of the Solvency II project for TPS Group companies.
Update reporting packs to incorporate changes that will result from the implementation of FRSME.
Assist in the preparation of TPS Group companies annual accounts in statutory format and FSA regulatory returns.
Support production of monthly and quarterly management information including business performance reports and Group Board reports.
Perform any other ad-hoc special projects as and when they arise.
Person Specification:
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS and experience of management and financial accounting
Experience of working in a financial services environment with working knowledge of FSA rules and regulations in a life assurance environment an advantage.
Working knowledge of Dream accountancy package an advantage
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Expert level Microsoft Excel skills.
