Copy Writer
SUMMARY: Responsible for preparing the words, slogans or scripts to promote product marketing, press releases, and advertising ideas. Produces creative marketing messages to support a business acquisition.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be proficient in Adobe Applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, LightWave 3d, Encore,, etc.
- Brand strategy and implementation support experience required
- Strong organizational and communication skills. Great attention to details.
- Able to juggle multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines, producing high quality work and projecting a positive attitude
- Must show an ability to create visually appealing and technically correct documents
- Knowledge of the content structure and of the English language including spelling of words, meaning and rules of grammar and composition.
- Proposal experience a plus

Developing and presenting drafts and ideas to for discussion in advertising including themes and methods

Varying tone and language messages based on medium, target audience and product

Editing or rewriting existing copy as necessary and submitting copy for approval by supervisor or client

Writing speeches, articles, sales letters, bulletins, and other related marketing, informative and promotional material

Inventing names and slogans that appear on brochures, packaging and other promotional material for products

Developing advertising campaigns; work with the Publications department to determine the best method to present advertising information.

Contribute to the overall strategy development and implementation of the product line

Work closely with the art department to architect and implement the overall look and feel of the outbound consumer communications materials

Write all copy to support customer communication efforts (solicitation, email, releases, website). Develop unique, new concepts. Make every test count.

Create copy templates for ongoing use in consumer communications. Look for efficiencies to improve speed to market for testing.

Write in-house marketing, training, and video scripts
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Literature.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be willing to travel upon request and be available to travelers after normal business hours. Candidates who have worked in the aerospace/defense industry a major plus.
