Core Fixed Income Portfolio Manager
• Working with the lead Portfolio Manager, responsible for investment performance and day to day management of credit portion of Core/Core Plus assets.
• Articulate and maintain a robust and consistent investment process in managing the portfolios.
• Effectively conduct credit sector research and draw upon the resources of research analysts, as well as other primary and secondary research sources, in making portfolio decisions
• Monitor industry trends and contribute to team strategy discussions.
• Five to seven years of experience as a credit portfolio manager or similar experience as a credit research analyst for a large, Institutional asset management firm.
• Experience working in a total return environment leveraging off of centralized research and trading.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to quickly analyze credit quality and respond to requests in timely manner
• Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to perform credit analysis, including proficiency with software tools such as Word, and Excel.
• Occasional travel
• Graduate degree in Finance, MBA or related field preferred.
• CFA preferred.
