Basic Qualifications
10+ years application development and implementation experience.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years working experience
Technical Requirements:
Knowledge of Core Java 1.5 or greater, Shell scripting (Bash, Perl, Korn, etc.)
Strong Database Skills (SQL, Stored Procedures, performance tuning), Unix/Linux commands.
Knowledge of web services.
Working knowledge of equities products.
Experience in the full software development lifecycle.
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Business Requirements:
Working knowledge of equity and equity derivative (options, futures, etc.) securities. Willing to learn about different financial instruments in order to effectively converse with the trading desks.
Other Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Analytical problem solving skills.
Attention to detail and thoroughness.
Preferred Skills
BS in Computer Science or related field (MS or MBA preferred).
5+ years working experience, preferably in Capital Markets/Trading.
Proactive team player with a *can-do* attitude.
