My client is looking for an experienced sales event management candidate with a proven track record of sales within the hospitality / hotel / tourism sector.
You will be responsible for implementing and developing a sales and marketing strategy to help with the continuous growth of the hotel and business. You will be overseeing the smooth running of events which include weddings and the corporate side of the business as well as promoting all departments of the hotel - which will include the Spa and Restaurant.
You will have contacts in Cornwall ideally and know from day one how to increase business and the methods you will be using, from success in a previous similar set up.
Is it essential you have experience in similar role and used to networking and representing the establishments at local associations. You will have the following skills / attributes:
-Proven track record
-Experience of formal event management ( overseeing wedding / corporate events)
-Ability to work with all departments to increase revenue and discuss promotions and packages
-An understanding and working knowledge of social media and using in house database systems
-Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
-Happy to work unsocial hours when the need arises
-Ambitious and creative, able to think outside the box
For the right candidate the salary on offer will be £18k with up to £5-£7k commission - this is uncapped. You will be part of the management team with excellent career prospects - for full details please submit your cv.
