Corporate Accountant II Job in Houston 77081, Texas US
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Ensure that transactions are properly supported and classified in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
- Analyze and record varying aspects of intercompany eliminations.
- Prepare and record journal entries for overhead allocations as well as additional journal entries as needed.
- Prepare account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts for the domestic company code.
- Special projects as assigned.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of three years experience in Accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree required in accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant desirable.
- Experience using JDEdwards is desirable.
Special Qualifications (Training, skills, etc.)
- Accounting experience preferred.
- JDE experience a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
