Corporate Accountant- Multi-Billion Hedge Fund recruitment

In this role you will be responsible for preparing financial statement reporting for entities located in the U.S., Japan, and U.K.  Also, you will prepare financial analysis for management and assist with the monthly close process. The firm has grown significantly and plan to continue that growth so the future possibilities are endless. 

Primary Duties:
•    Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports including financial statements, budget and forecast analysis, annual audits, tax filings, and other management reports.
•    Maintain general ledger accounts and record journal entries in connection with month-end close process.
•    Interact with PeopleSoft financials and provide meaningful analysis and reporting to management.
•    Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely, ensure accounts are reconciled, accruals are appropriate, assets are capitalized and depreciated according to policy, and expenses are properly allocated to clients.
•    Assist with reporting from employee expense reporting system.

Professional Qualifications Required:
•    BA/BS in Accounting with outstanding academic credentials with a minimum 3.5 GPA; CPA preferred.
•    Minimum 2 years (no more than 6) of experience.
•    No gaps in employment from college to present.
•    Some PeopleSoft Financials general ledger, nVision, and query reporting tools experience preferred.
•    Hands-on experience with account reconciliations, accruals, and exposure to budgeting, forecasting and cash flow analysis.
•    Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
•    Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a deadline driven environment.
•    Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and relationship management skills.
•    Experience with preparation of financial statement disclosures and footnotes as well as support documentation.
