JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary
A vacancy exists for the position of Corporate Actions Specialist Associate 2 in the Market Data department.

Reporting to the Manager in Corporate actions, the candidate will be responsible for processing Corporate Actions across all clients in a busy and challenging environment.  The candidate will gain exposure to all Corporate Action event types and is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast moving financial services environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Dealing with queries from other departments
• Applying CA events to all clients
• Bringing employee relations issues to the attention of management
• Attending meetings, conference calls
• Training in members of staff
• Client focused
• Coaching new staff members

Knowledge, Skills Experience Required
• Excellent administrative, organisational and business support skills, with the ability to multi-task and to work calmly under pressure.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong written verbal communication skills
• Possess excellent organisational, planning and co-ordination skills.
• Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
• Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team
• The candidate should have an honors degree in a business / finance related field a
• 2+ years relevant experience in the funds / financial services industry
