Corporate Actions recruitment
Job Purpose:
Processing of Equity Corporate Actions. The incumbent will report into a supervisor who reports directly into the Section Manager for Corporate Actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collation and publication of relative data for each specific Corporate Action issue from information provided.
- Reconciliation of Global Markets security holdings on internal systems across all entities.
- Management of risk to the firm and receipt and application of instructions received, against the security holdings.
- Timely Payment and reconciliation of all entitlements due to internal and external clients against receipts on securities that are subject to corporate actions.
- Allocation of new securities to position holders where stock is received as the result of a corporate action.
- Liaise with internal and market counterparts to achieve satisfaction of claims due in respect of open/failing trades.
- Regular communication with Front Office
- Management and active resolution of break items.
- Support and cover for team colleagues during period of extensive volume, holiday and cross training.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Demonstrate experience processing both Voluntary and Mandatory Corporate Actions, preferably within a Broker Dealer environment.
- Sound knowledge of event creation and notification.
- Exposure to Stock Lending functionality would be considered beneficial.
- Working knowledge of external applications including Euroclear and CREST
- Worldwide Market knowledge, particularly European markets
