The Corporate Audit group conducts audits of operational and financial controls throughout Chevron Corporation and its operating companies. It also performs audits of other companies’ accounts and records to verify that billings to ChevronTexaco are properly supported and in compliance with applicable agreements and industry guidelines/practices.

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Corporate Auditor located in London through 18th November 2011.

Overview:
The Corporate Auditor role reviews and evaluates compliance with Chevron internal control policies and procedures. The Corporate Auditor’s scope and travel location could be anywhere in world and any operations could be reviewed. Operations covered include Exploration and Production, Refining, Marketing, Trading, Supply and Distribution, Lubricants, Chemicals and Joint Ventures

Key Job Responsibilities for these positions:
• Responsible for evaluating internal controls and compliance with Chevron policies and procedures.
• Working within or leading a team depending on experience and will involve a range of challenging, varied and skills demanding operations worldwide.
• Analyses and tests processes,
• Identify risk exposures and control weaknesses
• Prepare maintain Audit workpapers on the electronic Teammate system.
• Develop workable cost-effective recommendations for improvement.
• Communicates findings and recommendations both orally and in writing.
• Global travel will vary circa 50% project and demands dependent.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the ability to work well within a team environment (current team of 14 in London) and handle work with minimal supervision
• Degree (or equivalent) ideally in finance or related field (preferable)
• Professional auditing or financial qualifications are strongly preferred, such as Certified Internal Auditors or ACCA
• Strong auditing experience in upstream oil and gas, major capital projects and third parties
• French, Russian and Arabic language skills would be strongly preferable
• Should be an enthusiastic, self-starter, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong data analytical skills
• A well organised approach to work, coupled with strong accounting and problem solving skills and work well under pressure
• Strong computer skills including working knowledge of routine office packages such as Word, Excel , Access is desired
