Corporate Banking Compliance

You will assist to formulate, update, issue/ implement compliance policies and procedures ensuring they are in line with local regulation and Group directives.  Acting as the department’s BCP coordinator and supporting the department on BCP activities, you will update the Compliance BCP documents, which include BCP Plan, Call Tree, Paros Employee Information and Flu Pandemic Dispersal Plan.  You will conduct periodic Compliance control tests and consolidate reports on testing results received from the business compliance teams for submission to the Department Head, and perform blacklist and watchlist maintenance by retrieving them from designated source for loading into local systems.

You will conduct name searches to fulfil requests from local regulatory and government authorities, Regional AML Sanctions and Head Office, as well as conduct pre-hire and post-hire staff screening.  You will update the new joiners and leavers register, determine sensitivity classification of new joiners, issue sensitivity classification to new joiners and update register of sensitivity classification.  You will also perform Conflict of Interest checks on staff’s directorships and outside appointments, review Gifts Entertainment (GE) forms for completeness and update the GE Register and prepare half-yearly GE analysis to assess conformance with the GE Policy.

You will maintain a register of staff who are US persons, in accordance with the Recusal Policy, and will issue notification to US staff on their obligations.  You will review and follow up on staff's Annual Vested Interest Declarations, and update the Register of Annual Declarations.  You will monitor staff’s completion of annual mandatory training, attend to queries/ enquiries from all staff on mandatory e-learning courses and submit quarterly reports on mandatory training completion status to the Function Heads.  You will also conduct the new joiners’ compliance briefing and the annual compliance briefing.

You will review the Password Application Forms submitted and raise system access for new compliance staff and access for other staff.  You will prepare the monthly management and semi-annual permanent control reports for submission to the Head Office and Regional Compliance Control and prepare Internal Control (ICC) reports and Permanent Control Reports for submission, as well as provide information to other Compliance Officers to facilitate their completion of permanent control reports.

You will prepare a report on regulatory assignments conducted by the regulator for submission to Internal Audit and retrieve and review policies and procedures issued by Group Compliance for issuance of Instruction Notes.  You will update the department's manuals to incorporate changes in processes and procedures and raise requests for document archival/ retrieval in the Document Retention System and respond to other banks/ financial institutions’ requests on AML attestations.
