Overview:
UK Corporate Broking sits within UK Investment Banking Corporate Banking Securities (CBS). We sit on the private side of the Chinese Wall and provide our clients (and potential clients) with strategic equity market advice (such as results preparation, Mergers and Acquisitions (MA) and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions), investor relations support, buybacks, road shows and provision of market intelligence. We have over 40 clients across the Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE)100 and FTSE250.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and pro-active Analyst to join our Corporate Broking team, based in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will involve day to day contact with senior management at our clients, equity market insights, institutional views, feedback from investor road shows and management of client road shows.
Whilst the role is based in Birmingham, we will look for the successful candidate to spend as much time with both the broking team in London and also our clients.
Key to the role will be an interest in equity markets and willingness to proactively reach out to clients.
You will be given exposure to senior management at some of the largest and high profile companies in the UK as well as fast growing mid cap companies.
You will have:
A Graduate degree with a basic understanding of finance and equity markets or relevant international equivalent.
Enthusiasm and a proactive approach are incredibly important.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, creativity and marketing.
Since the business is operationally intensive it requires an individual who is very attentive to details, numerate, and well-organised.
You will be:
A team player who will interact well with clients and also the broking department.
Proficient in Visual Basic strong MS Office skills is a must.
