CORPORATE BUSINESS DIRECTOR recruitment
The role holder will report to the Managing Director and have primary responsibility for leading the Corporate, Intermediary and Personal teams, which are responsible for the development and management of both domestic and international business on the Island. A key priority will be to identify and develop talent through performance management of existing staff and the recruitment of high performing professionals. The role holder will be required to deliver great customer service; manage and sustain relationships with large and complex corporate and International customers and ensure the team maximises profitability across the relevant business channels (Intermediary, Corporate, and Local).
Core Responsibilities:
- Acting as a public face and senior representative for the company on the Isle of Man working with the Managing Director and other a senior level executive members and bodies such as the Local Regulators and external auditors.
- Managing business unit costs and incomes within an agreed budgets.
- Monitoring and management of internal risk policies and regulatory requirements including maintain relationships with local regulators and compliance guidelines.
- Client engagement at a senior level influencing and managing commercial negotiations.
- Responsible for up to 8 direct reports and a team of up to 80 staff.
- Undertaking control of recruitment, leadership and development of relevant individuals working closely with direct reports to manage succession planning process.
- Delivering an exceptional client experience (leading by example) which will involve collaboration with the other teams across various jurisdictions
- Develop and execute a sales strategy agenda that will contribute to the overall business goals.
- Maximising profitable client relationships via cross selling and market mining.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining the relationship with marketing, to inform and drive sales targets and budgets.
- Leading sales teams delivering against strategic revenue and service objectives.
- Delivery of sales goals and business objectives for the relevant teams.
- Responsible for customer satisfaction surveys, employee opinion surveys, quality standards and business action plans.

Core Requirements:
- A high quality degree level education and a first class general academic track record is desirable as are professional banking or investment qualifications.
- An up-to-date and in-depth understanding of key issues facing the financial services industry and the offshore environment, together with a broad understanding for banking products and services for the offshore markets.
- Ability to operate in a complex business environment and at an executive level.
- A comprehensive knowledge of the key drivers and emergent trends of the Financial services Industry and the broad capabilities of the Company and Investment Management will be essential for success in this role.
