This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Corporate Banking business team within Santander, based in London. As a Relationship Manager you will support the Relationship Directors in developing new customer relationships by the marketing of the bank's products to Large Corporate clients with a turnover of £50 million and above.

As a Relationship Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

* Experience working within a Corporate Banking environment within a similar position. Candidates with experience within the Large Corporates sector would be preferred.
* A good understanding of financial analysis, planning and modelling.
* Proven relationship management ability, including excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Previous demonstrable experience of successfully creating and developing relationships with tangible results.

As a Relationship Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

* Managing an existing portfolio of customer relationships with full responsibility for portfolio management risk, operational and service requirements.
* Act as primary point of contact for customers (in the absence of the Relationship Director) and attend customer meetings with the Relationship Director as appropriate.
* Extending and developing business with existing customers
* Understanding the needs of customers and prospective customers in depth, and working with them to find effective solutions to their business issues.
* Producing applications for lending including extraction and interpretation of financial data and reports from potential and existing customers, preparation of balance sheet analysis and all supporting documentation.
* Supporting the origination of new customer relationships for the core product set of lending, current account, deposit, and cash management.
