CORPORATE CONTROLLER – VENTURE CAPITAL
Our Exclusive client, a nationally recognized Venture Capital / Private Equity firm located in the Greater Boston area, has an immediate opportunity for a top-level financial executive. The individual we seek should have a demonstrated record of achievement, including top educational/professional credentials and consistently upward career progression. Reporting directly to the CFO, selected responsibilities will include:
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Coordination of all internal and external financial reporting to Corporate Management and LP’s.
· Maintain working relationship with outside professionals including Bankers, Attorneys and CPA’s.
· Interact with Portfolio Companies to ensure quarterly financial statements are submitted on a timely and accurate basis.
· Maintain Management Company General Ledger and update budgets to actual analysis on a monthly basis.
· Evaluate current accounting systems and policies procedures, and make recommendations to improve quality of data and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
· Will also initiate and perform special projects as appropriate.
EXPERIENCE/QUAL/EDU:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a CPA - MBA preferred
· Ideal candidate will have several years of relatable experience gained through VC/PE clientele in “Big 4” or combination of public and private with current knowledge of industry-related GAAP, e.g. FAS 157
· Strong aptitude for IT to maximize systems support throughout the company
· Possess an eagerness to learn and desire to assume additional responsibilities
· Demonstrated ability to delegate responsibilities and mentor staff
· Great references very important
SALARY:
$150,000 to $175,000 + Bonus
The selected individual will participate in a first class, fully paid company benefits/retirement package coupled with a generous, personalized incentive compensation plan.
