Corporate Credit Analyst recruitment
A leading bank has opened up a new exciting role as a Corporate Credit Analyst (Telecomms, Media or Leisure).You will support more senior officers in the development of business with prospect companies and the maintenance / enhancement of relationships with existing accounts. As the Corporate Credit Analyst responsibilities are to provide high quality account administration and to assist in obtaining new business through the analysis and structuring of transactions. You will need strong analytical skills, strong understanding of Corporates, a necessity for solid communication skills, good interpersonal skills and an exceptional team player.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports senior officers in the development of business with prospect companies and the maintenance / enhancement of relationships with existing accounts.
- To provide high quality account administration
- To assist in obtaining new business through the analysis and structuring of transactions.
- Member of deal team for all transactions related to assigned portfolio.
- Analysis of business opportunity; preparation of credit presentation and recommendation for review by more senior officers and subsequently Group Risk Management, negotiation of product terms and documentation with borrowers / other banks culminating in the close of the transaction.
- Monitor assigned portfolio in order to become cognisant of business and industry dynamics and able to detect changes in credit quality.
- Provide high quality account administration and maintenance of assigned portfolio with duties to include conducting annual reviews, co-coordinating account management with team members and Loan Administration Officers, assessing and responding to customer requests for waivers, amendments and the restructuring of credit facilities. This function also includes all required regulatory and compliance activity.
- Provide occasional cover for the other portfolio team members during periods of absence.
Skills Required
- Solid understanding of Corporate Credit transactions.
- Strong credit analysis skills.
- Solid understanding of financial forecasting methodology and credit rating interpretation.
- Sound knowledge of relevant industry sectors as well as the wider economic and regulatory environment.
- Prior experience of loans and, specifically, loan documentation.
- Experience in European Corporates (preferably Telecomms, Media or Leisure)
- Not looking for experience in Leveraged Finance or FI's
