Corporate Credit Research, Associate / VP recruitment

The recent financial crisis and the subsequent market, government, and regulatory responses have resulted in capital market dislocations that will persist for several years as market participants adjust. The firm will develop several business lines and investment products, targeting superior risk-adjusted returns by focusing including on a number of strategies,  provision of  capital directly to users whose access to finance has been disrupted due to changes in their traditional capital providers. The firm plans to combine two types of investment activity in the Corporate Credit market. 

First, they will build a business engaged in direct lending to borrowers who, as a result of reduced access to bank credit, are willing to borrow at spreads that should generate particularly attractive risk-adjusted returns for investors. 

Second, they will acquire loan portfolios from lenders looking to manage their capital and balance sheets more aggressively.  This will be done in both cash and derivative form, and in some cases with vendor financing provided explicitly or implicitly via derivatives.  While these are different businesses, they plan to service both from a single strong credit underwriting and servicing team. 

The business is now looking to appoint a Corporate Credit Research Associate / Vice President, whose duties will include:

Preferred candidates will have 4-8 years relevant experience, gained in front office Credit Research, with a focus on Leveraged Loans / High Yield.
