The portfolio company, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, with offices in the Dallas area, is a small-cap real estate services business acquired by Fortress in early 2011. This is a long-term position with opportunity for advancement.
Corporate Development Business Planning Associate
Responsibilities:
- Assist with business development efforts, including acquisition and business development due diligence efforts
- Create detailed business plans and assist with Private Equity Investment Committee Memos
- Perform analysis and create reports that measure various financial and operational metrics of existing and planned businesses
- Assist with developing and maintaining detailed financial projections for various lines of business and new business opportunities
- Other general finance, strategy and planning/reporting duties as required by senior management and the financial sponsor
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or similar field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, corporate FPA, or an MBA and 2+ years experience in a similar role
- Exceptional financial modeling skills
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Must be comfortable working with senior management and a financial sponsor
- Ability to take ownership of deliverables and meet tight deadlines with a “can-do” attitude
- Experience in real estate or financial services is a plus, but not required
